Connections

Humans are wired for connection. Group therapy boosts social engagement, activates mirror neurons, fosters creativity, reduces fear, and encourages play and safety within a supportive group.

Group offerings provide a space for meaningful connections, mutual support, and deep dialogue within a safe container, allowing you to experience authentic belonging—your birthright.

I noticed when I had my eyes closed, drawing felt easier. When I opened my eyes, I suddenly felt pressure to get it right, because you know, I could see the page.

But with eyes closed, I just needed to trust.

— Creativity & Mindfulness Group Participant

Wonderful initiative. Well run.
Thought provoking.
Great facilitator.
Good networking opportunity.

— Manager (Deloitte)

I can bring mindfulness to work and that will help with keeping calm and enjoying work. It requires discipline and practice.

When I am stressed out my mind can’t focus well and jumps between too many tasks.

— Personal Assistant (Deloitte)

I liked that each week we used a different medium. I also thought the group sizes were perfect.

Meeray and Aaron were also very encouraging and that definitely helped people who may have felt they weren’t artistic.

— Administrator (Deloitte)

I felt relaxed and renewed – almost like I could accomplish anything.

It was a calming and reflective 45 minutes spent focusing on creating art rather than what was going on in my head.

FAQ’s

To join a group, simply fill out the Application Form, which will help me understand your needs and interests. After that, I will reach out to set up a complimentary 15-minute Initial Phone Consultation, where you can ask any questions you may have. Following the consultation, we can sign you up for a group.

Group sessions offer distinctive opportunity for accelerated growth and support, whether on their own or in conjunction with individual sessions. Attendees often express a deeper connection to themselves, others, and something Greater. Importantly, they are held in a safe way to best support all participants. Healing can naturally emerge when people have a shared intention to grow, be real and vulnerable; playful and authentic. All groups are informed by a blended approach drawing from Contemplative & Wisdom Traditions, Creative First Aid, NVC, Attachment Theory, Gift Theory, Jungian Shadow Work and the work of Irvin Yalom and Parker Palmer.

We try to make every effort to accommodate clients’ differing schedules. While we can and do feel personally sympathetic to issues that can arise, where possible, group participants are asked to give at least 24 hours in advance if they are unable to attend to avoid bearing a 50% cancellation fee. No shows will incur the session fee. This ensures the best opportunity for all to receive services and respects our mutual investment.

Aligned with my values to therapy more accessible, if people have limited means, I like to talk with them about what their livelihood would support. If you are experiencing financial hardship, a chronic or serious health condition, you are a first responder, veteran or hold a concession card, and would like to learn about any available concession spots, please do get in touch. Counselling, Psychotherapy are not yet covered by Medicare. One positive thing about that is that you don’t need a specific mental health diagnosis by a GP or a referral to participate in group sessions.

Fees are due at the time of service by Direct Debit transfer for Telehealth sessions or via Credit Card payment with a link sent to your phone. A tax invoice will be provided after the consultation.

Yes, online via Zoom. For in-person groups and workshops, please reach out using the 'Let's Connect' link below to discuss how we can work together.
